We are SUPER EXCITED to announce that your property, Abberly Place in Raleigh, NC took home the biggest award given at our annual awards banquet yesterday for COMMUNITY OF THE YEAR!!! This is an award that we share with you all.

We did have two individual awards given yesterday as well. Both Eric Bogacki and Lauren Booker were awarded Team Spirit awards for outstanding customer service and positive attitude about their community and work. We could not be happier as a team to share this with you all.

In America, it can be difficult to know what a portion size looks like, with the constant super sizing and humongous restaurant portions. Over time, plates have multiplied in size, and, seemingly, so have our appetites. Over time, you get used to eating more when it is readily available, I guess.

With that in mind, here are some visual aids to help you tell when enough is enough:

1. Cooked meat: A 3-ounce serving will be about the size of a deck of cards.
2. Fish: 3 ounces is the size of a checkbook.
3. Cheese: One ounce is the size of four dice.
4. Sliced cheese: One slice is the diameter of a CD.
5. Pasta/rice: A half cup is the size of a baseball cut in half.
