Community Bulletin Board

We do have an area on our website where you can list items you want to sell. If you look under resources on AbberlyPlace.com, you will see a drop down screen that will say Community Bulletin Board. From here you can list items that you are wanting to selling (including us…we have some fantastic pieces that we have removed from our models that are practically brand new).

There is a place where you can post job opportunities, events through the area, etc. It is free and we will publicize the items for you. Take advantage of this service we offer. We want to make sure that we are constantly working on things that will make life easier for you. If you have any suggestions, feel free to let us know.

Happy New Year Abberly Place Residents!!

We want to wish all of our valued residents a year of wonderful things to come. We hope for all of you to have good health and happiness throughout the year and we look forward to sharing 2013 with you all!

Tree Disposal

If you are one of the residents that prefers a live tree for the holiday, we would like to remind you to dispose of it properly. We will have an area beside the exterior wall of the compactor areas.

If you will just pile the trees there, our Landscaping company will be taking them away for us. Please do not place them inside the compactor or in the recycling areas. Thank you.

National Mentoring Month

Mentoring programs across the country make a nationwide plea for volunteers during January's National Mentoring Month.

If you have time, compassion and wisdom to spare, consider becoming a mentor. For information log onto www.mentoring.org.

Resident Advantage Program

We hope that all of our residents are enjoying the discounts that are offered from our Resident Advantage Program. If you are not aware of what that is, it is a program that we have worked out with 40 plus local businesses who have agreed to offer some type of discount to Abberly Place Residents.

Some of these places are restaurants such as TGIFridays, LaCocina, Napper Tandy's, Aversboro Restaurant and Sports Bar and recently added, Kaze'. There are salons such as Vanity Spa and Color Bar, Salon at Main St., and A Day at The Beach Tanning Salon.

You can see a list of all of the businesses that participate and if you visit our website, www.abberlyplace.com. If there are any businesses that you would like to see added, let us know and we will see what we can do. Enjoy!

Valet Dry Cleaning

This is just a reminder that we offer valet dry cleaning here at Abberly Place. The Valet Service will come by our office and pick up your items and return them to our office the next day. How’s that for service?

You never have to drive anywhere to get your dry cleaning done. To find out more information, you can go to abberlyplace.com or visit the website, www.MyPVS.com. Here you should find a general price list and registration forms. Please feel free to call us with any questions you may have.

Air Filter Changes

The Service Team will be changing air filters in the following buildings during the month of October; Please make a note for yourselves if your building is on the list above. We ask that you kennel or secure all pets and please disarm alarm systems for that day.

We change your air filters so that your heating/air conditioning unit works more efficiently. Thank you for your cooperation.

Need Space?

We have storage units available for those of you who need some extra space for the winter. Some people need a place to hide those special holiday gifts and others might just need to make room for all of the wonderful things received this holiday.

No matter the reason, you can never have too much space for storage. Just give us a call to inquire. Prices and availability change daily so don't delay!

Holiday Décor

Thank you to all of the residents who made Abberly Place shine during the holidays! We love to see others celebrate in their own special way.

However, now that the New Year is among us, we ask that you please remove any holiday decorations and lights from your patio and front door areas. Of course we do not mind if you keep your winter wreaths up and your normal décor year round. We enjoy you all making your home unique. Thanks again from your Abberly Staff.

Compactor Areas

This is just a reminder to all residents of Abberly Place. The compactor areas for trash disposal have gotten messy over the last couple of months. We do realize that during the holidays, most people accumulate extra trash with guests visiting and so forth. Also, this a time that people purge and get rid of old items to make room for new items.

Please remember that the compactors are enclosed in the brick areas and there are specific holes that trash should be discarded in. The Phase 1 compactor has an open area with no door and the Phase 2 compactor has a door that you will need to pull open. The other areas right outside the openings are for recyclable items such as aluminum, plastic and glass. Currently, there is a separate dumpster for cardboard as well.  In the very near future, we will be converting the cardboard dumpster to an all purpose recycling container that all of the recyclable items can be placed in together. We will inform everyone when this takes place.

At no time is it okay to place items such as furniture, TVs other electronics, mattresses, etc. These items are to be taken to a landfill or donated to charity. We have to pay to have these items removed and they make the compactor area look very bad. Thanks you for abiding by the rules set by Abberly Place.

Renew Your Lease for 2013

We are aware that the Raleigh Area apartment market is competitive, which allows you several choices in choosing your home. Our goal at Abberly Place is to offer the finest apartment community in the area along with exceptional services such as well-groomed surroundings, excellent amenities and a caring staff. We have a lot of long term residents here at Abberly and hope that will continue for years to come. If your lease is expiring during 2013, we ask that you plan to renew with us and secure the comforts of your home for many more months to come. We love having you here!

Did you know that most Americans automatically assume that they will reduce their tax bill if they buy a home? This myth is perpetrated by parents, accountants, teachers and real estate agents. The truth is that your mortgage interest has to more than the standard deduction to gain a tax advantage. If you itemize your deductions and they are greater than the standard deduction, you will save no more than $10 to every $35 that you pay in mortgage interest above and beyond the standard deduction.

Short Term Rental Apartments

For those of you who might not know, we offer fully furnished apartments to rent by the day. These are perfect for those out of town guests that want to come and visit for a long weekend or for the holidays. You can also reserve these for business partners that may have to come to the Raleigh area on business. They can stay here and enjoy the convenience of the shopping center, use all of the amenities and have easy access to I40.

We have a one bedroom apartment that rents for only $60/night and a two bedroom that rents for $80/night. If you would like to reserve one of these, please call our office at 919-772-6545. There is no deposit required and payment is taken when you pick up the keys.
