If you live in an apartment in Garner, NC you can enjoy, live near, or work in on of the best run cities. A new report credits the Research Triangle Park and world class universities as reasons that it ranked Raleigh as a “best-run city.”
With a low violent crime rate and low unemployment, Raleigh ranks as the 10th best-run city, according to a 24/7 Wall Street report.
“Because the area is a research and academic center, many of the city’s job are high-skill scientific and academic positions. Largely as a result, Raleigh has an educated and relatively prosperous population,” according to the report.
Consider that in 2012, 47% of Raleigh adults held a bachelor’s degree or higher. That’s well above the national average of less than 30%. The report also credited a strong credit rating by Moody’s as a reason for its ranking.
Austin, Texas, which is frequently compared with Raleigh, ranked No. 8 on the list. Irvine and Freemont, both in California, took down the No. 1 and No. 2 spots, respectively.
