Abberly Place Apartment Homes - Biographies

Lance has been working for HH Hunt for ten and has been managing Abberly Place for the last seven. Lance has won the Property Manager of the Year award in 2006, 2008 and 2010. He is dedicated in making Abberly Place the best it can be. As a graduate of Barton College with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and minor in Business Administration, Lance is passionate about making Abberly Place the best community to call home. Lance is a native of Durham, NC but is proud to be a resident of Abberly Place and Garner. Lance's favorite thing about his job is providing our residents the best customer service a person can get and motivating and training his team to be the best they can be. Lance also feels extremely honored to manage one of HH Hunt's largest and nicest communities. When not at work, Lance's true passion is traveling, spending time with loved ones and friends and lets not forget his BIG Siamese cat, Sushi.

Kris was born and raised in North Carolina and has lived in Triangle for about 18 years. She has an adorable eight year old son, who keeps her busy when she is not doing 10 different things at work. She has been with Abberly Place for 8 years and in the Property Management industry for 12 years. She worked in Retail Management and is so glad that she made the change over to this industry. Working at Abberly Place, for her, has been the most rewarding career choice for a number of reasons. She loves the satisfaction she gets when she helps a resident with a problem or hears a resident say how much they love living at Abberly. Her philosophy is, "when someone walks out the door with a smile on their face", she has accomplished her main goal for the day. She has received the Excellence in Resident Services Award and a two time Assistant Property Manager of the Year for HH Hunt Property Management in 2007 and 2009.

Heather Clark is currently working on her 8th year with Abberly Place Apartment Homes. She got her start with the construction division of our company as a Field Office Administrator where she played a major part of the beautiful homes provided to our residents today. As development came to an end and her skills were obvious, she was asked to join the property management team where she now holds the title of Account Administrator. As the Account Administrator of Abberly Place Apartment homes she has proudly earned awards in 2005 and 2007 as Account Professional of the Year. She continues to maintain the accounting system that aids that helps keep Abberly Place running smoothly and residents happy. Although her office isn’t visible to most, she is always willing to help people with any account issue they may have.

Brandie is a southern girl that grew up in Durham NC. She has been working at Abberly Place for over 4 years now and has proven herself as an industry leader. She recently had a title change from Leasing Consultant to Senior Leasing Consultant because of her outstanding work in this industry. She not only enjoys working in the community, but she also enjoys calling it home. Brandie was married over three years ago to her wonderful husband Jeremy. She also has a beautiful step-daughter Audrianna, a beautiful newborn son name Gage and a Boxer named Yaley. Brandie loves helping current residents with any problems that they may have. She loves that Abberly Place is like one big family. In her spare time, she loves spending time with family and friends. She and her family are huge Duke Blue Devil fans! Brandie will always have a smile on her face and an optimistic attitude. If you ever have any questions, you can always fell free ask her!

Lauren is a native from West Point, a small town on the Chattahoochee River that separates Alabama and Georgia. She graduated from Garner Senior High School and went back south for college. Soon after having her daughter Ava, Lauren returned to North Carolina to be closer to her family. Lauren believes that motherhood has been the best and most rewarding thing in her life. Lauren has been with Abberly Place for over four years and takes pride in helping folks find their perfect apartment to call home! Lauren was the 2009 Leasing Consultant of the Year with HH Hunt Property Management and 2011 recipient of the Team Spirit Award . She recently had a title change from Leasing Consultant to Senior Leasing Consultant because of her outstanding work in this industry. As a resident also at Abberly Place, she sees the community and its residents more as home and family. She enjoys building relationships with our residents and you can always expect a warm smile and a hearty laugh when you are in the office. When Lauren's not working she enjoys cook outs with her family and closest friends, taking road trips and watching Alabama football, "Roll Tide"!

Rick has been in the maintenance field for more than 17 years and we are so pleased that he has accepted the promotion to Service Manager at Abberly Place. He brings years of experience, management and knowledge to the service team. He also has his Universal CFC Certifications (the necessary knowledge to work on and repair HVAC systems) and also holds his National Certified Pool Operator Certifications and his Wake County Pool Operators Certification. Rick celebrated over 31 years of wedding bliss this past February. He has three children, six grandchildren and his beloved dog, Harry. Rick's favorite thing about his job is making the residents happy.

Eric has been in the apartment service industry for a few years now. Prior to starting his career in Property Management, Eric was in the Air Force for four years and served in Phoenix, Arizona. While in the Air Force, Eric worked on the electrical and maintenance aspects of the F-15. He prides himself in getting the job done correctly and promptly the first time. His certifications include; Universal CFC, National Certified Pool Operator, and Wake County Pool Operator. Eric was promoted from Service Technician to Assistant Service Manager in January of 2012 and is excelling in his new position. Eric is the current winner of the Spirit Award for boosting team morale. In his spare time Eric enjoys spending time with his daughter and son. He is a diehard sports fan with N.C. State and the Pittsburg Steelers as his favorite teams!

Larry has been working with apartment communities for a long time delivering appliances to residents with the highest level of customer service. He joined the staff of Abberly Place bringing years of experience in appliance repair. He strives to keep Abberly Place beautiful and making sure that the residents needs are being met. Last year at HH Hunt's Awards Banquet, Larry was awarded the Groundskeeper of the Year Award. For everyone that knows Larry, this is an award that he definitely deserves. Larry holds certifications as a National Certified Pool Operator. Larry continues to take more classes and become more diversely trained in the multifamily industry. Larry just graduated in May of 2012 from Liberty University with an Associates Degree and Arts and Religion. In his personal life, Larry is married to his beautiful wife, Asiaa and looks forward to a life of happiness and bliss.

After serving in the Navy as an Operations Specialist, Travis went on to get his Black Belt from White Tiger in 2006. He enjoys continuing education and has completed his certifications as a National Certified Pool Operator, CFC I & II certification and advanced HVAC training. He is a graduate of the School of Communications Arts in Raleigh. On his off time Travis enjoys spending time with his wife and 4 year old daughter. He also raises money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation and appears at events as a Star Wars character. Another interesting tidbit about Travis, even though his demeanor is quite and kind, he is a different person in the ring. You can find Travis cage fighting weekly on his off time. We are so happy to have him on our team.

Jeremy joined our staff in July of 2012. He brings a wealth of knowledge to our award winning staff with 9+ years of maintenance experience. Jeremy holds Universal Certification from the Esco Institute. This certification allows Jeremy to work on HVAC units and specifically with EPA monitored refrigerant. He also holds certifications as a Wake County Certified Pool Operator and National Certified Pool Operator. Jeremy not only has exceptional skills in maintenance but has a great attitude. He strives to exceed expectations and takes a lot of pride in going above and beyond the call of duty. In his personal life, Jeremy is a newlywed, marrying his wife, Rebecca right at a year ago. When Jeremy is not working, you will find him competing in different BMX Super Cross competitions through out the area. Another interesting fact about Jeremy is that he owns 20 chickens.

Matt is a recent graduate from North Carolina State University with Bachelor of Science in Sport Management along with Minors in Business Administration, Parks, Recreation, Tourism and Management, and Health. He enjoys being outdoors, sports, and working out. Matt was born and raised in a small town out in the country called Four Oaks, NC. Matt has had several jobs in the past that have enabled him to develop all around skills in customer service, management, sales, marketing, and other business related skills. Matt looks forward to working with a great team here at Abberly Place!

Joshua was born and raised here in Garner North Carolina. As a Garner High School graduate he received a full athletic scholarship to Virginia Tech. While in Blacksburg, Joshua excelled in the classroom and on the football field. In May 2011 he earned his in a degree in Property Management. When not at work, Joshua enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He is active in his community through his Fraternity, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Incorporated. Joshua is ecstatic to be apart of the team here at Abberly Place and is looking forward to a growing career in the Property Management Industry.

Susan is a seasoned property management professional with over 10 years of property management experience. She is the winner of numerous leasing awards including the Wilmington Apartment Association Leasing Professional of the Year in 2008. Susan is currently a senior at UNCG and hopes to graduate in December 2013. She plans to continue her education and go to graduate school. Now that her schooling is slowing down, she decided to come back to work part-time to the industry she has grown to love. Susan grew up in Cleveland, Ohio but considers North Carolina her home and loves living in the south. She is married and enjoys spending time with her husband Duane, Golden Shepherd Colt, and Maine Coon Sake. Her favorite hobbies are hiking, swimming, and camping. Traveling is one of her favorite passions and she has visited 35 states as well as 10 countries. Susan is excited to meet all the current residents and looks forward to getting to know them. She loves helping people so feel free to ask her for assistance.
