On Point Protection – Private Security Company
Starting the week of August 1st, you will most likely notice a marked vehicle for a private security company called On Point Protection. We have hired them to make random patrols throughout the community on several days of the week at various times. You may see them in the early evenings or late at night. They will be posting signs at the entrances notifying residents and visitors that they are present. There will be a phone number listed on the sign for your convenience, should you need to call. However, they ask that if you see something suspicious or have an emergency, that you automatically call 911 first. They have a positive working relationship with the Garner Police Department.
Air Filter Changes
The Service Team will be changing air filters in the buildings listed below during the month of August. Please make a note for yourselves if your building is on the list below. We ask that you kennel or secure all pets and please disarm alarm systems for that day.
We change your air filters so that your heating/air conditioning unit works more efficiently. Thank you for your cooperation.

Make Happiness Happen
What makes someone happy varies from person to person, but everyone has the ability to make happiness happen. Here are a few ideas to increase your smiles this month.
- Reserve time for yourself everyday. Spend it doing something that you love like dancing, cooking, or reading.
- Keep happy people by your side. Great attitudes are contagious and if you are going through a hard time, having a support system of friends who are positive can make your feel better and cared for.
- Turn your focus on helping others. It could even be something small such as holding a door for someone.
- Try joining a happy community like the social media experiment 100 Happy Days.
- Exercise can improve thinking, learning, and judgment skills. Try to move as much as you can and make it an activity that you enjoy.
Things You May Be Cleaning Too Often
While we know it is good to clean, there are a few things that we may be cleaning too often (if there is such a thing). While we wash our bed sheets every week or so, we only really need to wash our actual comforters twice a year. Our pillows only need to be washed about once every 3- 6 months. Some folks think that it is necessary to clean their ovens once a month. Did you know that we only need to clean/self clean our ovens once every 3-4 months? What about your pantry? Do you try to reorganize this and clean it each time you go grocery shopping? We know how stressful that can be and most of us are probably guilty of this. They say to clean your pantry once every season and if you make sure you are purging away those unwanted items each season, this will make the world of difference! What about your smart phone. While some of us may not clean this enough, some may clean too much. They say to wipe down your phone, once a week with a disinfecting wipe, and that will do the trick. Hopefully you will find this helpful and it will help you cut back on some cleaning hours!
