If you are one of the residents that preferred a live tree for the holiday, we would like to remind you to dispose of it properly. We will have an area beside the exterior wall of the compactor areas.
If you will just pile the trees there, our Landscapers, Heaven and Earth, will be taking them away for us. Please do not place them inside the compactor or in the recycling areas. Thank you.
This is just a reminder to all residents of Abberly Place. The compactor areas for trash disposal have gotten messy over the last couple of months.
We do realize that during the holidays, most people accumulate extra trash with guests visiting and so forth. Also, this a time that people purge and get rid of old items to make room for new items.
Please remember that the compactors are enclosed in the brick areas and there are specific holes that trash should be discarded in.
The Phase 1 compactor has an open area with no door and the Phase 2 compactor has a door that you will need to pull open. The other areas right outside the openings are for overflow of recyclable items and there is a separate, green, dumpster for all recyclable items.
If you notice that the green container is full, please place your extra recycles inside the open area around the brick wall.
At no time is it okay to place items such as furniture, TVs other electronics, mattresses, etc. These items are to be taken to a landfill or donated to charity.
We have to pay to have these items removed and they make the compactor area look very bad. Thanks you for abiding by the rules set by Abberly Place.
Thank you to all of the residents who made Abberly Place shine during the holidays! We love to see others celebrate in their own special way.
However, now that the New Year is among us, we ask that you please remove any holiday decorations and lights from your patio and front door areas.
Of course we do not mind if you keep your winter wreaths up and your normal décor year round. We enjoy you all making your home unique. Thanks again from your Abberly Staff.
Handicapped and Reserved Parking Spaces
As everyone knows, there are handicapped or reserved parking spaces in front of each building here. Some of these spaces were there since the beginning of construction and some have since been added as approved Reasonable Accommodations for residents who have requested and be been approved for them.
If you do not have a legal handicapped parking tag or permit, please do not park in these spaces. We ask that everyone please respect your neighbors and be considerate to those who need these spaces. Thank you in advance.
Please stop by our office and join us for donuts, bagels, coffee and juice, on Tuesday, January 21st between 7:30 am and 9:00am. We would love to start our day off right by spending time with residents!

Rent vs. Buying
In todays economy, with unpredictable lay offs and relocations, people are choosing to rent housing versus buying a home. Renting offers short term obligation for those people who are uncertain what their financial standing will be in the near future. If your company decides to downsize or relocate, you will not be locked into a 30 year mortgage. Most apartment communities offer flexible lease terms and options to break a contract if something unfortunate, like a job loss, happens.
Also, with renting an apartment, you will get the convenience of onsite amenities and benefits such as fitness centers, swimming pools, business centers and 24 hour maintenance. You will never have to replace an appliance or do any home repairs. This saves time and money.
