Community Bulletin Board

We do have an area on our website where you can list items you want to sell. If you look under resources on AbberlyPlace.com, you will see a drop down screen that will say Community Bulletin Board. From here you can list items that you are wanting to selling (including us…we have some fantastic pieces that we have removed from our models that are practically brand new).

There is a place where you can post job opportunities, events through the area, etc. It is free and we will publicize the items for you. Take advantage of this service we offer. We want to make sure that we are constantly working on things that will make life easier for you. If you have any suggestions, feel free to let us know.

Holiday Office Hours

Our office will be closed on Monday, July 4th. We hope that you all enjoy the holiday and we will be operating on normal business hours for the rest of that week!

July 4th / Independence Day

The Declaration of Independence

We celebrate American Independence Day on the Fourth of July every year. We think of July 4, 1776, as a day that represents the Declaration of Independence and the birth of the United States of America as an independent nation.

But July 4, 1776 wasn't the day that the Continental Congress decided to declare independence (they did that on July 2, 1776).

It wasn’t the day we started the American Revolution either (that had happened back in April 1775).

And it wasn't the day Thomas Jefferson wrote the first draft of the Declaration of Independence (that was in June 1776). Or the date on which the Declaration was delivered to

Great Britain (that didn't happen until November 1776). Or the date it was signed (that was August 2, 1776).

Air Filter Changes

The Service Team will be changing air filters in the buildings listed below during the month of July. Please make a note for yourselves if your building is on the list below. We ask that you kennel or secure all pets and please disarm alarm systems for that day.

We change your air filters so that your heating/air conditioning unit works more efficiently. Thank you for your cooperation.

7/14 – 300 Abberly Crest Blvd.

Lake Benson’s July 4th Celebration

Lake Benson will have their Independence Day Celebration on Sunday, July 3rd at Lake Benson Park here in Garner. Festivities will start at 5:00 and there will be several activities for the whole family. This is known as one of the best firework shows in the Triangle, so you do not want to miss it! For more information visit www.garnernc.gov/Events.aspx.

Abberly Place Pool Party!

Now that summer is here, our residents are using our amenities more and more which is awesome! If you have guest visiting and you want to take them to the pool or resident activity center, please keep in mind that you are only allowed 2 guests per apartment. This rule is in place to avoid overcrowding these areas. We have recently had several people ask if they can have parties in these areas and unfortunately with the 2 guest limit, you would not be able to have a party. We do realize that several of our residents are friends and hang out so if you wanted to have a gathering in the Resident Activity Center or pool area, that would be perfectly fine because you all live here and you would still be able to bring guest. If you have any questions or concerns about this, please feel free to contact our office and we would be more then happy to go over the rules!

Patio and Balcony Areas

We wanted to send out a friendly reminder about your patio and balcony areas. We want these areas to stay neat and tidy so that it looks neat and presentable to everyone in the community. We want you to have patio furniture, flowers (with water protectors under them), and decorative items on your patio/balcony so that it will feel homey to you. We do not want trash, inside furniture (this looks tacky) holiday lights (when it is not the holiday season), recreational items such as bikes and kayaks, flags (this could be offensive to someone) bird feeders (humming bird feeders are ok), towels hanging to dry (this is an eyesore to neighbors and does not look good when we are showing the community to prospects) and any other items that may be considered to be an eyesore. Please contact our office if you have any questions or concerns about this. Thank you!

Our Service Team will continue to pressure wash breezeways throughout the summer and fall, weather permitting. The July schedule is listed below. On the day that your building is scheduled, please remove anything from outside your front door to prevent damage and place a towel just inside your font door to keep water out of your foyer. Thank you all for your cooperation in keeping the community beautiful. WE WILL NOT BE PRESSURE WASHING YOUR PATIO/BALCONY. WE WILL JUST BE PRESSURE WASHING THE BREEZEWAY AREAS.

Popsicles by the Pool

During the month of July, we will be passing out popsicles by the pool. This will help cool you off on a hot summer day and….they are yummy!

Here is a fun summer fact for you:

Did you know that Popsicles, a popular summer treat, was accidentally invented by an 11-year-old boy in San Francisco in 1905. He left a glass of soda sitting outside and by the next morning the soda had frozen. He began selling them at an amusement park in New Jersey. In the U.S., cherry is the number 1 flavor.
