Community Bulletin Board

We do have an area on our website where you can list items you want to sell. If you look under resources on AbberlyPlace.com, you will see a drop down screen that will say Community Bulletin Board. From here you can list items that you are wanting to selling (including us…we have some fantastic pieces that we have removed from our models that are practically brand new).

There is a place where you can post job opportunities, events through the area, etc. It is free and we will publicize the items for you. Take advantage of this service we offer. We want to make sure that we are constantly working on things that will make life easier for you. If you have any suggestions, feel free to let us know.

Patio and Balcony Areas

We wanted to send out a friendly reminder about your patio and balcony areas. We want these areas to stay neat and tidy so that it looks neat and presentable to everyone in the community. We want you to have patio furniture, flowers (with water protectors under them), and decorative items on your patio/balcony so that it will feel homey to you. We do not want trash, inside furniture (this looks tacky) holiday lights (when it is not the holiday season), recreational items such as bikes and kayaks, flags (this could be offensive to someone) bird feeders (humming bird feeders are ok), towels hanging to dry (this is an eyesore to neighbors and does not look good when we are showing the community to prospects) and any other items that may be considered to be an eyesore. Please contact our office if you have any questions or concerns about this. Thank you!

July 4th / Independence Day

The Declaration of Independence

We celebrate American Independence Day on the Fourth of July every year. We think of July 4, 1776, as a day that represents the Declaration of Independence and the birth of the United States of America as an independent nation. But July 4, 1776 wasn't the day that the Continental Congress decided to declare independence (they did that on July 2, 1776). It wasn’t the day we started the American Revolution either (that had happened back in April 1775). And it wasn't the day Thomas Jefferson wrote the first draft of the Declaration of Independence (that was in June 1776). It also wasn’t the date on which the Declaration was delivered to Great Britain (that didn't happen until November 1776), and the date it was signed (that was August 2, 1776). Interesting facts huh?!
