Father’s Day is June 16th. We want to wish all of our Abberly Place Dads a very Happy Father’s Day
We are happy to see all of our residents enjoying the warm weather and the pools at Abberly. It’s always a popular spot for the summer. We want to remind you that if you chose to use the grills, please respect others by cleaning off the cooking surface for the next person.
Also, there are pool rules posted at each pool and we ask that you take time to read them and abide by them.
Some of the rules that we feel need to be addressed directly are:
- No more than 2 guests (per apartment) at the pool or any of the amenities.
- No outside music devices, such as radios, are allowed. We have music playing at the pools that is appropriate for all ages so that everyone can enjoy it. IPods and MPs players are fine with ear buds.
- No one under the age of 16 is allowed at the pools without an adult.
- No corn hole boards or other games are allowed inside the pool gates.
- No throwing items that could hit or hurt someone in the pool areas.
Some other rules but not all are:
- No pets allowed inside the pool or the pool deck areas.
- ABSOLUTELY NO glass containers of any kind allowed in the pool areas.
- No horseplay or running in the pool area.
- No one allowed inside the pool areas before 10:00 a.m. and after 10:00 p.m. and the pools are closed on Mondays (most of the day) for cleaning and treatment.
Please let us know if you have any questions about any of the Pool Rules.
Rent vs. Buying
How many times have you thought that a mortgage payment would be less than your rent at Abberly Place?
Few prospective homeowners truly appreciate how expensive annual maintenance on a house can be. On average, you should expect to spend 1% to 2% of your home’s value on maintenance costs each year. On a $200,000 home, that is $2,000 to $4,000 a year in maintenance.
And that does NOT include property taxes, homeowner’s insurance, home improvement, decorating or any additional landscaping that you decide to do. Home ownership also requires a different type of budgeting discipline. You need to be prepared for the unexpected such as replacing a water heater, a leaky roof, a broken AC/heater, etc.
As a resident of Abberly Place, you have the convenience of knowing exactly what your monthly housing will cost. Our excellent Service Team will take care of your maintenance needs!
Going on Vacation?
Are you planning that vacation this summer that you have been dreaming of….we hope you enjoy where ever your heart takes you! Don’t forget to alert the post office to hold your mail during that long trip. You can go by the Garner Post Office and fill out a hold form or go to the website, holdmail.usps.com. Have fun!
Save Money on Your Water Bill
Water conservation is important during the summer months and can really help you manage your water bill.
We wanted to give you some quick and easy steps to save water during summer peak season.
Not home a lot? Wait until your dishwasher is completely full before running it. You can do the same with laundry; try not to do many different loads, wait until you have a full load before washing, this saves on water as well.
We all love those nice big garden style tubs, but try limiting yourself to indulging in that long soak just once a week instead of daily. Take quick showers instead.
Also, did you know while brushing your teeth and leaving the water running, you allow an average of 7 gallons of water to be wasted each time?
Try turning the water off while you brush. You could save an average of 434 gallons of water a month!!
Try these tips and you will be pleasantly surprised when you get the next bill.
Water Bill Payments
As you all know, your water bill comes from YES Energy Management and is billed monthly. You should send your payment directly to YES or you can go to their website and pay online. That website is www.yesnavitas.com.
If you get behind on your water bills, and become 60 days delinquent, your payment can be made payable to Abberly Place for the complete amount owed.
Please note that if your account does become 60 days delinquent, all Abberly Place amenities will be restricted including the pools and RAC.
Please feel free to call our office if you have any questions about your water bill.
Tell Us How We Are Doing
As many of you know, we have become Survey Savvy. We have a survey that we send out to people who have recently moved into Abberly, moved out of Abberly, a Service Request Survey and a general Resident Survey.
We truly want to know what you think and how we are serving you.
