What kind of pets do you allow? Do you permit exotic pets?

We do not have a weight limit at Abberly Place, however we do not allow certain aggressive breeds: German Shepherds, Rottweilers, Doberman Pinchers, Chows and Pitt Bulls (American Stafforshire Terrier).If you should have a pet that is a mixed breed that resembles one of the aggressive breeds listed, we would not be able to accept that pet as well. We do not allow exotic pets (ferrets, snakes, lizards, etc).

How many pets may I have?

The maximum number of pets allowed is 3. We allow a maximum of 2 dogs.

Are there any deposits, special fees or monthly charges to have a pet?

There are non refundable fees that go along with being a pet owner. For pets under 35lbs at maturity there is a $250 pet fee and a bond of $87.50 and for pets over 35lbs at maturity there is a pet fee of $350 and a bond of $87.50. This is not per pet, it is for total pets. Pet Rent is $10 per household if you should have a pet.

Is my security deposit totally refundable?

You have two options, you can choose a refundable deposit of $500 (minus any damages done to the apartment) or you can choose a one time fee of $175.

If I get a job transfer, can I break the lease?

We do offer three options to terminate your lease early. All three require at least a 60 days notice.

What utilities are included in my lease?

There are no utilities included in your rent.

How long is the term of the lease?

We can do anything from 3 months to 15 months.

Do you accept leases for short terms?

We do allow leases as short as 3 months on certain apartment homes.

If something needs to be repaired in my apartment, how do I report it?

You have a couple of options on how to report a service request. You can either call a service request in to the office or e-mail it in by our website at www.abberlyplace.com.

When is rent payment due?

Rent is due on the first of every month.

What is the day of the month that I am liable for a late charge?

You do not accrue late fees until the 6th of the month.

Will you accept electronic payments from my bank?

We do accept electronic payments however they must be in our office by the 5th of the month to avoid late fees.

Is there a place where I can pay my rent after hours?

There is a drop box to the right of the front door to the clubhouse.

There is a person who might be staying with me for awhile. Is that permitted by the lease?

If they are going to be staying 10 days consecutive or 14 days a month, we will need to process a normal application on that person.

Do you have reserved parking?

There is no reserved parking.

I have a motorcycle, where can I park it?

All vehicles must be parked in designated parking areas. If you require locked parking spaces, we do offer detached garages for lease.

My children live with me in the summer; do I need to notify your office when they arrive?

It is necessary to provide the office with all people that will be residing in the apartment.

Can I install my satellite dish at my apartment?

You can install a satellite dish within your patio. It cannot make a permenant change to the building and has to be within the patio to meet our guidelines. You will also need to have certain exposure to get a signal. If you do not, there is nothing we can do to aid you with this issue.

Do you have cable services?

You do get discounted cable and high speed internet through Abberly Place.

Will you accept my delivery packages for me?

We will be happy to accept your packages if you are not home.

Do you have a list of Preferred Employers?

We do have preferred employers, call to find out if your employer is on the list.

Where do I register to Vote?

You can register to vote at North Carolina DMV Stations.

Can I get a co-signer for negative credit reasons?

We do not allow co-signers for negative credit. We only allow guarantors to help meet income qualifications.

How is your property different from the competition?

1) There is no one in the area that offer more amenities than Abberly Place. We have 2 resort stlye pools, 2 fitness centers with advanced cardio equipment, a movie watching area, game area with pool table and foosball table and game tables, 2 business centers, a conference room, 2 car care centers, valet dry cleaning, DVD checkout, etc.

2) Our apartments are about luxury. Our apartments have features such as 9’ ceilings with triple crown molding, deep soaking garden tubs, custom bookshelves, built in net nooks, optional kitchen finishing packages (choice between modern white cabinetry with white appliances or maple cabinets with black appliances), we do have upgraded apartment homes with granite countertops and stainless steel packages.

3) It is all about location at Abberly Place. Our apartment homes are located in the beautiful and convenient White Oak Crossing area. You will be in walking distance from great retail stores, restaraunts, and entertainment venues. You are also less than a mile from Hwy 70 and I-40. You are only 10 minutes from Downtown Raleigh and all of your favorite triangle destinations.
